Gerwin got his PhD from the University of Chicago where he worked in the group of David Schuster, trying to integrate circuit QED with a single electron floating on liquid helium. In 2019, he joined the Quantum Nanoelectronics Lab as a postdoctoral fellow and he is interested in expanding the toolbox of weak measurements and realizing quantum simulation with superconducting circuits.
